Monday Night Football (MNF) is a branding used for broadcasts of National Football League (NFL) games that primarily air on Monday nights. The concept was first introduced in the 1960s and has been a staple of NFL broadcasting since then. MNF was originally broadcast on CBS from 1970 to 2005 and then moved exclusively to ESPN in 2006. In 2016, MNF returned to ABC in select simulcasts with ESPN, and in 2020, it began featuring select exclusive ABC telecasts. ESPN has aired some of the games on ESPN2 since 2020 and has streamed MNF simulcasts on ESPN+ in the U.S. since 2021. The Monday Night Football schedule for 2023 includes 21 games throughout the regular season.
