A Realtor is a licensed real estate professional who is also a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The term is trademarked and refers to a real estate agent or broker who is part of this trade organization. As of April 2023, there were over 1.5 million Realtors in the U.S. They make money by facilitating real estate transactions for clients, earning a commission based on the sale price of a property. 1 2
