Taylor Hawkins was an American musician best known as the drummer of the rock band Foo Fighters. He joined the band in 1997 and remained a member until his sudden death in 2022. Hawkins recorded eight studio albums with Foo Fighters and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the band in 2021. He was also the drummer for Sass Jordan and toured with Alanis Morissette and Van Halen before joining Foo Fighters. In addition to his work with Foo Fighters, Hawkins formed his own side project, the Coattail Riders, and the NHC with Matt Cameron and Nate Mendel in 2020. Hawkins died on March 25, 2022, in Bogota, Colombia, at the age of 50. The cause of his death is still unknown.
