Vince McMahon is a third-generation wrestling promoter who grew up in a trailer park in North Carolina and joined his father's small wrestling company in 1972. He purchased the business 10 years later and transformed it from a regional operation into a global phenomenon. McMahon's WWF (now called WWE) went public in 1999, and its programs are currently broadcast in roughly 150 countries and more than 30 languages. McMahon is under federal investigation for sexual misconduct allegations and resigned as executive chairman of TKO Holdings, owner of World Wrestling Entertainment, in January 2024.
