Web WhatsApp, also known as WhatsApp Web, is a feature that allows you to use the popular messaging service, WhatsApp, on your computer's web browser. It enables you to send and receive messages, make voice and video calls, and access other WhatsApp features using your computer.
To use WhatsApp Web, you need to have an active WhatsApp account on your mobile device and a stable internet connection on both your phone and computer. Here's how to set it up:
- Open a web browser on your computer and visit the WhatsApp Web website: web.whatsapp.com.
- On your mobile device, open the WhatsApp application.
- Tap on the three-dot menu icon (Android) or the settings icon (iPhone) located in the top-right corner of the screen.
- From the menu that appears, select "WhatsApp Web" or "WhatsApp Desktop."
- A QR code scanner will open on your phone's screen. Scan the QR code displayed on the web page with your phone's camera by aligning it with the code.
- Once the QR code is successfully scanned, your WhatsApp account will be linked to the web browser, and you will be logged into WhatsApp Web on your computer.
Note that WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp Desktop can only be used on one device at a time. When you log in to WhatsApp Web on a computer, it mirrors your WhatsApp account from your phone. This means that your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for WhatsApp Web or WhatsApp Desktop to work.
