Cillian Murphy is an Irish actor, producer, and writer. He was born in Douglas, Cork, and studied law at University College Cork before dropping out to join the Corcadorca Theater Company. Murphy's acting career began with stage roles and eventually led to film roles, including in "28 Days Later" and "Batman Begins." He gained international recognition for his performance as Dr. Jonathan Crane, aka The Scarecrow, in "The Dark Knight." Murphy has also starred in TV shows like "Peaky Blinders" and films such as "Oppenheimer." He is married to artist Yvonne McGuinness and has two sons, Malachy and Aran.
